Castle View Suite.

Our most beautiful room: 27.7 square metres of Italian design and the Castello Estense outside the window. Two people sleep here comfortably, up to three with the extra single bed.

Open the curtains and the Castello Estense is right there, beyond two windows. Not a postcard: the real Castle. You are on the square, in the front row of Ferrara’s life, and when you close the windows the city stays outside. Claudio Abbado stayed here for more than twenty years: we believe there was a reason.

To choose well

What you’ll love, what to know.

What you’ll love

  • The Castello Estense in your window, day and night
  • The space: 27.7 m², with a small separate sitting room
  • The third bed, so three can travel together without giving up the view

What to know

  • The double bed is made of two singles pushed together: if you prefer, we separate them
  • The bathroom has a shower, not a bath
  • You are on the square, which is lively: soundproofed windows protect your sleep, but it is not the silence of a secluded street

In the room

  • Fibre Wi-Fi
  • Air conditioning
  • LED TV
  • Safe with room for a laptop
  • Minibar with WAMI water, charged, which funds water projects. Free water is in the lobby, at the Culligan dispenser available to all guests
  • If you stay at least two nights you can skip housekeeping: the saving goes to the woodland the hotel has adopted (the room is still made up on the third day)

Frequently asked questions.

How many people can sleep in the Castle View Suite?

Up to three: a double bed (or two separate beds) and a third 90×190 cm single bed.

Do all three suites look onto the Castello Estense?

Yes: all three face the Castle, from the first to the third floor.

Does the bathroom have a bath?

No, it has a large walk-in shower, from 160×80 to 170×80 cm.

Can the double bed be separated?

Where can I park my car?

The hotel has no car park of its own and is inside the limited traffic zone (ZTL): you can stop at the entrance only to load and unload, giving us your number plate at check-in. Then you can leave the car in the blue-line paid parking bays with the €7 day ticket you get at check-in (the nearest are in Via Fausto Beretta, a 4-minute walk), or at the Borgoricco multi-storey car park, 230 metres away. The Ex Mof car park, 1.1 km away, is free.

What time can I check in, and when do I have to leave the room?

Check-in is from 14.00, check-out by 11.00. If you arrive early you can leave your luggage from 8.00; if you leave late you can keep it in the lockers after check-out too.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes: €15 a day, with a welcome kit just for your dog.

Is the water in the room free?

The minibar water (WAMI) is charged and funds water projects. Free water is in the lobby, at the Culligan dispenser available to all guests: handy for filling your water bottle too.
