A hotel that is not just for sleeping.

On the ground floor there is an art gallery, the FrameFlow photographs, the bar, breakfast, the bikes and a safe place for your luggage. Much of it is open to people who are not staying with us too.

Art Gallery and FrameFlow.

Since 2011 the lobby and the library room have been home to the Art Gallery: six artists a year, one every two months. The catalogue with works and prices is in your room and in the lobby, and the works are for sale: the price is set by the artist.

Since 2025 there has also been FrameFlow: twelve photographers a year, one a month, on the four screens in the lobby and on the monitor in the library room, from 7.00 to 23.00. The photos are printed only if you buy them.

Students of the Basic Design Laboratory at the University of Ferrara, on the Industrial Product Design degree course, designed a chocolate bar and its packaging together with Rukèt, Marco Gruppioni’s artisan chocolate workshop in Ferrara. It starts from the cocoa bean and ends with the packaging: shape, colour and the way the bar is looked at, touched, opened and tasted.

Small pleasures

The things you don’t expect.

  • The vinyl corner: pick a record and put it on the turntable yourself
  • A small library in the library room: take a book and read at your own pace
  • Table football
  • The Guest Share Hub: phone chargers, 5 pairs of reading glasses in different strengths and other things left by guests, for anyone who needs them. Take what you need and bring it back
  • The Technogym point in the Annex lobby, free for guests with their room key card
  • The shop at reception: local cured meats, pampepato, Russiola, a rosé from the Comacchio area made in small quantities, and a few other wines, all the bar’s bitters, Marco Gruppioni’s peanut butter and peanut spread, made with Ferrara peanuts from the Po Delta, and the breakfast products

Sustainability

A little better, every day.

  • Free water from the dispenser in the lobby, also for your water bottle
  • WAMI water in the minibar: you pay for it, and it funds water projects
  • We are drastically cutting down on plastic
  • ZeroWaste products and information in digital form, to use less paper
  • Local, certified suppliers
  • If you stay at least two nights you can skip housekeeping: the saving goes to the Bosco Integrale di Cento, a green area just outside Ferrara (the room is still made up on the third day)

Can I visit the Art Gallery even if I am not staying at the hotel?

Yes: the Art Gallery and FrameFlow are on the ground floor and admission is free for everyone.

Can I buy the works on display?

Yes: the price is set by the artist, and you will find the catalogue with works and prices in your room and in the lobby. FrameFlow photos are printed only if you buy them.

Can I leave my luggage even if I am not staying at the hotel?

Yes: luggage storage is open to everyone. For people not staying with us it costs €6 a day per bag; for guests it is free.

Can I charge my phone while my luggage is stored?

Yes: there is a power socket inside every locker.

What is the housekeeping opt-out?

If you stay at least two nights you can do without the change of sheets and towels and the cleaning: the saving goes to the Bosco Integrale di Cento project. Sign up with the QR code in your room, from the guest guide or at reception, by 19.00 for the following day. The room is still made up on the third day.

Is there a gym?

There is the Technogym point, with a treadmill and an exercise bike, in the Annex lobby: it is free for guests, who get in with their room key card.
