Parking and getting here
Where to park your car.
It is the question we are asked most often. The hotel has no car park of its own: we are in the historic centre, inside the limited traffic zone (ZTL): you stop in front of the hotel only to unload your luggage, then you leave the car a few minutes’ walk away.
By car
The hotel is at Piazza Repubblica 5, facing the Castello Estense, inside the ZTL: to reach the entrance you drive through the ZTL and then the pedestrian area. You can do so only to load and unload your luggage, from 8.00 on the day you arrive to 14.00 on the day you leave, stopping for up to 30 minutes. You don’t need any code: give us your number plate at check-in and that night the hotel sends it in for the exemption. You unload your luggage yourself.
By train and by plane
Ferrara station is 1.7 km from the hotel: a 17-minute walk, or buses 6 and 9 to the Castello Estense stop. From Bologna airport you can come by car, by train or with the Bus & Fly shuttle, which stops 100 metres from the hotel and has its timetable on its website.

An example: if you arrive on Saturday, with the Flexible rate you can cancel free of charge until 23.59 on Tuesday.
Why prices change
There are four reasons, and here they are.
A room that stays empty tonight does not become available again tomorrow: that is why the price changes, as it does for a flight or a train. Those who book earlier find better conditions.
The price changes only with the period and demand, with how many rooms are already taken, with the rate you choose and with the channel you book through. Nothing more.
We don’t use systems that adjust the price according to the phone you use, where you are or how you found us. If two guests book the same room, for the same night, at the same moment, they pay the same price.

Does the hotel have a car park?
No, the hotel has no car park of its own and no agreements with private car parks. We are in the historic centre, inside the limited traffic zone (ZTL): the nearest car park is the Borgoricco multi-storey, 230 metres away.
Where can I park my car?
In the blue-line paid parking bays, with the €7 day ticket you get at check-in (the nearest are in Via Fausto Beretta, a 4-minute walk), or at the Borgoricco multi-storey car park, 230 metres away. The Ex Mof car park, 1.1 km away, is free.
Where do I find the best rate?
Always on the official website: the prices shown are the lowest per night for the room, with La Dispensa breakfast included.
Can I drive up to the hotel?
Yes, only to load and unload, stopping for up to 30 minutes: the hotel is in the ZTL, on the pedestrian area. Access is allowed from 8.00 on the day you arrive to 14.00 on the day you leave, giving us your number plate at check-in: you don’t need any code.
Is the ticket valid in all blue-line parking bays?
No: Piazza Sacrati, Piazza St. Etienne and Via Cortevecchia are excluded.
What time can I get into my room?

Can I leave my luggage after check-out?
Yes, in the lockers: free for guests. Every locker has a socket inside for charging.

Yes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Can I cancel my booking?
With the Flexible and Just Sleep rates, yes: free of charge until 23.59 three days before arrival. The Advantage rate costs 12% or 20% less, but you pay straight away and it is non-refundable.
Why does the room cost more on online travel agencies?
Because the price includes the platform’s commission, about 20%. On the official website there is no commission: that is why you always find the lowest price there.
How much is the city tax?
€3.50 per person per night in the main building, €2.50 in the Annex, for 7 nights at most. If you show the MyFE Card, Ferrara’s museum card, you don’t pay it: show it at check-out, before your bill is made out.
How can I pay?
